Ellen Geerts is always investigating new motives and techniques. She discovered Texel last year and has been working on a series of paintings ever since. De Slufter in particular fascinates her. She not only depicts the vastness of the landscape, but also zooms in on details: the brilliance of light in the small water pools and the rich color splendor in the low vegetation. The new book “Between art and cuisine” shows recent works on paper and paintings – works she made in France, Brabant and Texel. In addition, recipes and photos are included; a wonderful book.
