Are you coming to see lambs on the Hoge Berg? In the spring you can see them running and jumping everywhere. The Hoge Berg is an ancient, rolling icon landscape. Sheep have been grazing here for centuries. You can see that in the sheep sheds, the vortexes and the many garden walls that you walk past. The lamb walk also takes you past grove 't Doolhof and insect reserve De Zandkuil. Do you want to see more? The walk can easily be extended to the Georgian cemetery, the Wezenputten and the Brakestein country estate. The Bakker family of sheep farm De Waddel maintains the landscape on the Hoge Berg and works in a nature-inclusive way and as circular as possible.
For children there is a scavenger hunt with a surprise and you will also receive some goodies from the sheep farm: a piece of sheep cheese, a sheep sausage and a jar of quince jelly.
The walk is 3.3 km and takes you largely on unpaved paths. Boots or sturdy shoes are recommended. You will receive a route booklet with information about the area and De Waddel. There is also a longer route. Times: Mon, Fri and Sat from 10.30am. Costs: € 17.50 per group (from 1 to 6 people). The treasure hunt incl. surprise costs € 2.50 pp. Would you rather take a lunch with farm products on the road? Do you want to come with more people or at a different time? The Bakker family likes to think along! Reservations can be made via the tourist office.
