A former sheep barn, the Boetje van Klemat, has been home to the monumental art installations of artist Ericka Voortman for the last 10 years. With fairytale titles such as the Guardian, Vischwijven and Zielkapje, it attracts visitors from far and wide. This time the warm 'Heart of Venus' beats like a beacon, serene and calm in her sheep's woolen costume. The 14 Portraits of Resurrection around her outline the search for Hope and Inspiration. Meanwhile, the rhythm of the Heart of Venus sways calmly and powerfully to the visitors. And yes, you may open the door of her heart and enter it, but do it, as we all like to see our fragile hearts approached, with consideration and respect. This wonderful timeless art installation is open daily from sunrise to sunset. Do not hesitate to visit the monumental Hart in the cool of the morning or in the twilight of the evening [great on your own!]. If the gate is closed, because of the safety of the chickens that forage there, feel free to step over it. This exhibition can be seen until the end of April 2024. Tip: leave the car and bicycle near the Rezieneweid and walk towards the Schoonheyt van de Trage OerTijd via the beautiful old peerdepaadje, the Klematspaadje.
