Year of the House Sparrow

Sovon Bird Research and Bird Protection Netherlands have declared the house sparrow "bird of the year 2024". Immediately after the announcement, Galerie Posthuys asked its artists to start working with the bird. The group exhibition shows work in various techniques and in a wide variety of formats and styles. 10 artists present new work: Marianne Aulman (textile objects), Stella Burggraaf (charcoal drawings), Jan Grotenbreg (paintings), Barbara Guldenaar (watercolour), Laura Hoek (ink drawings), Gerrie Lulof (ceramic objects), Lenneke Saraber (linoleum prints), Yvette Shoemakers (linoleum prints) and Yvonne Zomerdijk (paintings) Galerie Posthuys (Brink 14, De Koog) is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
