Walking tour from 't Clijf to Den Hoorn

With guide Bob Schat you walk around and through Den Hoorn. Using the landscape and buildings, he shows you how nature, climate, landscape and people have interacted. We discuss disappeared creeks, villages and harbors, of which there are still remnants today, sometimes tangible, sometimes only in names. During the walk you will pass typical Texel landscape elements such as the tuunwal, the sheep pent, the kolk and the peerdepad. Bob explains why Den Hoorn used to be directly on the sea and what can still be seen of it. He also talks about the characteristic features of the houses in the village. The walk starts on the parking strip at the church of Den Hoorn and the distance is approximately 7 kilometers. The excursion lasts two hours. Starting point: Parking strip at the church, Den Hoorn
