Sam Bouthoorn (The Hague 1980) has been drawing for as long as he can remember, and as soon as he could write he wrote stories. In the third year of grammar school he lost himself in a world that he has been trying to find ever since by writing, drawing and painting. Nowadays he lives on the Novalishoeve and he no longer runs away from the beauty or the darkness. He looks at them and gives them shape and color, in layers on top of each other. Sam is happy with his exhibition in De Vermaning: “a beautiful place just around the corner from me”. Very nice if you come and have a look!
