Artist's Ver Salt with "Summer Salt"

Summer salt art exhibition shows the "Power of imagination". The annual 'Summer Salt' art exhibition of the Texel Artists Ver ZOUT is just around the corner. And she knocks, louder than ever! From June 2 to June 28, the public can become acquainted with a varied and inspiring range of visual work made by Texel artists. More than 21 members have submitted very diverse work ranging in discipline from drawing, painting, textiles, sculpture to installation art. ZOUT has been in existence since 2007 and represents the interests of approximately 70 members, a mix of amateurs and professionals. A new wind is blowing through the board and the number of members is growing steadily. The association promotes the creative climate on the island and makes connections with the local population, tourists and youth. The importance of an artists' association is invaluable because it forms a bond between creative creators from all levels of society. The theme of Zomerzout is to show the power of imagination because creativity (art, music and culture) is at the basis of human existence. In times of pessimism and nihilism it is important to pay attention to the power and beauty of creation. Opening June 1 at 5 p.m. by island poet Fiet van Beek. Anyone interested is very welcome. Open daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
