Accompanied by an enthusiastic guide, you will take a beautiful walk through the Waalenburg nature reserve. With a peak in the months of May and June, various types of orchids bloom that you can admire up close. In addition to the rare harlequin, more common species such as broad-leaved orchid and spotted orchid bloom here. For birds, the Waalenburg nature reserve is a true Eldorado! We will look for various meadow birds such as lapwing, black-tailed godwit and redshank that use the space and tranquility to forage and breed here. Moreover, the Waalenburg nature reserve is one of the few remaining strongholds of the skylark. We have also already experienced that a true pioneer such as the little ringed plover also knows how to find the Waalenburg nature reserve.
During the excursion, you can use a high-quality pair of loan binoculars free of charge.
We conclude the walk in Nature Centre De Marel with a nice cup of coffee or tea.
