The Texel Sheep Breeding Day will again be held at the Groeneplaats in Den Burg. Back with a vengeance, after the inspection was last held there in 2019. The enthusiasm is undiminished. The Texel breeders come to the center with no fewer than 340 sheep. Rams, ewes, ram and ewe lambs compete for the highest honor. Which one-year-old ram will win the Bronze Texelaar this year? The verdict is up to the jury, representatives of the Texel Sheep Studbook in North Holland. Judging starts at 9:30 am. In the run-up, sheep breeders open their barn doors to the public on Saturday and Sunday. It is now a tradition. Certainly during the corona years, many enthusiasts took the opportunity to take a look at the breeders.
