Bird identification excursion

Under the guidance of one of our guides, you will visit a number of bird-rich areas on the Noordkop van Texel. For example, the mudflats and the surroundings of Utopia are a favourite place to learn to recognise waders and seagulls, Dorpzicht and Zeeburg are a great location for geese, various songbirds and polder birds. The Eierlandsche Duinen are a good place to meet the short-eared owl and other dune birds. The tour around the Robbenjager is also a favourite. The excursions are suitable for young and old and are mainly focused on learning to recognise birds. These excursions are walking excursions. The guide may ask you to drive to another location with a few cars, to start the walking excursion there. The nice thing about bird watching is that no excursion is the same. Even if you go along the same route several times, you will always see different bird species. If you do not have binoculars yourself, you can borrow one from the Bird Information Centre. The excursion will take place under almost all circumstances (with a minimum of 4 persons). If this is not the case, you will be called at the latest the evening before the excursion.
