Step into the past and experience how the inhabitants of the island lived, lived and worked in the past! In the heart of the picturesque village of De Waal in the middle of Texel, the Waelstee heritage museum is located in two beautiful farmhouses. In the museum you can learn about the history of living and working on Texel. The extensive collection of historical utensils, tools and means of transport, the forge, overviews of Texel landscapes and farms and the authentically furnished farmhouse provide an illuminating view of daily life on Texel in the past.
