From Tuesday 27 June on, the Zomerkerk organizes a surprising concert every week in one of Texel's beautiful churches, provided by professional musicians. Twelve summer evenings long. Tonight: Robin Colvill plays the grand piano in the Hoornder Kerkje. Robin Colvill is a celebrated pianist in England and Europe who has also played for the Royal Family. Characteristic are his imaginative programming and the diversity of venues where he performs: concert halls and theaters, but also at castles, festivals, schools and universities - and now in the atmospheric church of Den Hoorn. Tonight he plays an accessible concert with something for everyone: works from the Classical-Romantic period (with masters as Mozart, Scarlatti, Schubert and Chopin), but also gems from the 20th century. The master himself explains his program with tidbits and anecdotes. The concert starts at 20.15. Please take into account a cash voluntary gift afterwards; no card payment possible.
