Summer Evening Concert

Tonight the last of the twelve summer evening concerts organized by the Zomerkerk. Every week, professional musicians gave a surprising, summery concert in one of Texel's beautiful churches. Daniel Kramer (piano) with Trio Da Capo plays the g-moll piano quartet by W.A. Mozart and the C-moll piano quartet by J. Brahms on the beautiful new grandpiano in the Doopsgezinde Kerk, Kogerstraat 18, Den Burg. Mozart's client found the work delivered in 1785 too difficult for the players and withdrew the assignment. The public appreciated the work! Brahms' profound piano quartet is almost a century younger: it dates from 1874. It is one of his most loved and performed works. A worthy end to the concert series and the last opportunity this summer to attend. The concert starts at 20.15. Please take into account a cash voluntary gift afterwards; no card payment possible.
